Shifting gears with the haunt at this point and going all in with a redesign of last years coven of witches and continuing the scarecrow binge I am on. Grabbed some loose, very loose reference off the google tree:

As well as some previous work a kind of a basis for where I want to take the next one, a more human form

  1. Taking this one to a much different place I believe, where the pumpkin heads can be whimsical and fun in some regards, this should be unsettling and maybe slightly controversial. I won't be happy unless I'm a little afraid of it.

  2. Always like the burlap scarecrow faces. Very nice job! Can I ask what you use to stiffen the burlap to give your facial features?

  3. Not mine Mark, just reference, I believe the gentleman used expanding foam and spray adhesive to get the effect. It's from Halloween forum, I believe in 2010, I will try and find the link.

  4. What I'm working.... planning anyway is more strips, like a mummy wrap with less defined features.

  5. I decided to go with an all new haunt this year also. I did lots of work from May to middle of August when I had off for a surgery I had done. Perfect timing I guess.

I thought you shut down your blog, I got a little disappointed. Glad to see it's back.
